Find the size marking on the sidewall, for example 225/45 R18. Run-flat tyres carry an extra code next to it. There is no universal standard; each brand uses its own, so look for any of these:

Other brands use their own wording, often simply Run Flat or Flat Run. If none of these appear, your tyres are almost certainly normal tyres. If your car has no spare wheel and came with a tyre-pressure warning system, it may have been built for run-flats. Still unsure? Send us a photo of the sidewall on WhatsApp and we check for you.
